Most organisation feels that their leaders fail to demonstrate leadership skills after weeks of attending leadership programs. In facing crisis or issues, leaders seemingly forgot or seen as precariously managing the organisation's problems, especially under pressure. This perennial adverse effect is causing the company to perform poorly and receive lower return of investment. Why is this so? Usually leadership programs imitate established successful leaders' behaviour. They learned what makes some leaders better than the others and list down the behaviour patterns. The problems with imitating and learning process is that it would usually not last since it is acquired through conscious mind and it is not natural. Another problem is that, due to individual differences, leadership skills practised through training or attending programs, may not possibly cover all crisis that the leader will face since different problems emerge different issues and crisis. We at AFELIN PathFinder, knowing these adverse effects, creates an objectives for our "Lead the leader program" that helps individual leader learn through their strength and embedded inside the subconscious mind in order to have a long lasting affect. This creates a natural tendencies of behaviour that the leader has already had in facing any crisis even under pressure. We believe that the dichotomy between " leaders are born not made"and "leaders are made not born" are both true in our program.
At Afelin PathFinder, we practice the arts and science approach to change and development. Our programs are evidence based and we customize our programs to suit our diverse client's need, and tap on the principles of nature and nurture.
The corporate and individual arm of Afelin PathFinder work in harmony to assist individuals to achieve their maximum potential . We believe that there must be a new era of approaching leadership issues today. A leader's natural tendencies is often critical in shaping the direction of leadership. Can a leader lead effectively without trying too hard to remember what they have learnt in any leadership programs? This question often emerged as we design our program. Then we asked ourselves, what do we mean by "naturally"? We debated until we came to an agreement, that it is something that we do unconsciously or subconsciously, just like breathing or eating. Imagine having sincere, trustworthy leaders with a sense of direction; where they want to lead their team. At Afelin PathFinder, we focus on the science and art of leadership. We gather scientific evidence and weave it into the art of human behaviour . We integrate the two approaches into our, Seed of Ultimate Leaders (S.O.U.L) program.
